Remington BB18125A 18-Volt Cordless Electric Blower

Customer Review: Didn't last long
I purchased this unit from Menards last summer. It's not a strong leaf blower but if you need something portable for light jobs then this unit theoretically would do the job. The problem I'm seeing with mine is the battery no longer makes good contact. My unit really has very little use and I was quite dissapointed when it failed. The battery warranty is just 6 months and although it failed within that mark I didn't get it taken care of. I'm sure it's just a defective battery. My fear is that they are all poorly designed batteries and do I want to drop $40 on a replacement or just toss the whole unit and buy something I can trust for $80. I'm rambling. Point is this is an off-brand tool and lots of people are complaining about poor quality. Do your homework before buying this product.
Customer Review: Light duty blower
This blower - I'd rather call it an air broom - is compact and well built. The battery removal and installation is a quick and convenient. The charger attaches to the detached battery with a slide clip. The air broom performs well after the battery is fully changed but the blowing force drops off fairly quickly after about 10 minutes of use. This air broom is effective for light duty tasks such as when the material to be moved isn't heavy, sticky, or wet. This "blower" is no match for the corded blower models however is quick and easy to use for light duty cleaning tasks. Buy it if you want to use it for moving dust or easily moved leaves and grass. Anything heavier then those really calls for the use a corded or gas blower.

Makita 24.5cc Commercial Duty 4-Stroke Gas Powered Blower #BHX2500

Customer Review: Great but buzzy blower
Plenty of power for most jobs, starts 1st or 2nd pull, no long cord needed to clear 1000' drive through the woods as electric blower needed, and most of all, no 2-stroke smoke odor over clothing when done. Fairly quiet too (still use ear protectors though). Only shortcoming is the vibration. Acceptable, but the most I've ever seen on a blower, and need to switch hands more often than others. Weird gyroscopic action when turning it too, but more entertaining than a problem. Still my favorite blower though.
Customer Review: A Pleasure to Use
I've owned this blower for a couple of months now. I purchased it as a replacement for my old electric blower. It has plenty of power for my suburban needs. It's also quiet and runs on regular gas (no mixing gas and oil like a 2 stroke). All of these attributes are great, but the really great thing is that it starts reliably after 1 or 2 pulls just like my trusty Honda mower. Compared to the 2 strokes that I have dealt with the Robin 4 stroke in this blower is a real pleasure to work with. I would easily pay $50 extra to have the 4 stroke in this Makita. I wish their 4 stroke string trimmer was a bit cheaper. I would trade up and ditch my old Echo 2 stroke in a heartbeat if it were close to the price of this blower.

Tanaka Commercial Grade Gas Powered Large Backpack Blower Tube-Mounted Throttle 65cc 4.3 HP 2-Stroke (CARB Compliant) #TBL-7800R

On March 1, 1998, Tanaka became the first two-stroke manufacturer to certify to the stringent C.A.R.B. Tier II emissions regulations. While most other manufacturers tried to fight the standard and say that it could not be done with two-stroke, Tanaka did it. Today, all Tanaka products comply with EPA phase 2 regulations and all Tanaka product groups are C.A.R.B Tier II compliant.
Customer Review: easy start, easy to use
right out of the box, easy to assemble hoses and setup. The directions were good, nice to follow. It starts right up every time and is very powerful. I like the fact that the gas cap is attached to the tank and the speed switch is comfortable. Its a little cumbersome getting it on your back until using it a couple of times. It does a great job and will blow wet leaves as well as dry.
Customer Review: Beast
This thing is a BEAST!! Great for all sorts of jobs from blowing grass clippings off your driveway to moving some heavily compacted, wet leaves. Buy some ear protection and save yourself the hassle later.

Black & Decker LH5000 12 Amp Variable Speed Electric Leaf Hog Blower / Vacuum With Zipper-Less Leaf Bag

Customer Review: Black and Decker LH5000 Electric Leaf Hog
You know, this may very well be a good product, but changing over from the blowing function to the vacuum function is a nightmare. The bag has to be added on, or removed and the blower arm etc has to be added on or removed. All depending on which functions you want. This is simple to do, but TAKES A GREAT DEAL OF TIME AND EXTRA WORK. My older blower/vacuum was just a flip of a lever. This is just way too time consuming when you are in the middle of a large project. You can't just blow and area and the suck it up. Then move on to the next little area. Really, just too time consuming.
Customer Review: Excellent product
I had a previous version of the leaf hog that I was satisfied with but when it burned out, I was in the market for another. This model is a noticeable improvement. The steel propeller is a key upgrade as is as the zipperless bag. It is relatively light weight and very powerful. I could not find this at home depot and was delighted that amazon offered it.

Worx TriVac WG500 12-Amp All-in-One Electric Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum

![]() The TriVac's unique compact, lightweight design makes it more versatile and easier to handle than other blowers. View larger. |
![]() Change from blow to vac with a flip of the switch. View larger. |
![]() The angled nose makes it easy to clear low areas and to reach under decks and furniture. View larger. |
![]() |
ErgoSum Design Technology allows you to hold the TriVac with a natural, comfortable grip, and its light weight of just 8.4 pounds and wrap-around soft grip mean you can operate it with one arm. The compact size also makes it easy to store, and there are no extra tubes to lug around when taking care of your grounds.
Environmentally Friendly, Efficient Electric Motor
Because it runs on a 12 Amp electric motor, the TriVac makes a much more environmentally friendly choice than its gasoline-powered counterparts. The electric motor runs at about 70 decibels, significantly reducing noise pollution, and it has none of the emissions associated with gas-powered engines. The electric power still packs a punch: when used as a blower, the TriVac's air speed of 210 mph is strong enough to clear away wet leaves and other heavy debris. The adjustable air regulator allows you to reduce air flow when working around delicate plants and preventing dust ups. Flip the switch to vacuum mode, and turn mounds of dry leaves into mulch in minutes, perfect for compost piles or ground cover. The TriVac's 10 to 1 mulch ratio makes easy work of large jobs.
Innovative, Durable Design
The TriVac's innovative angled tube makes it easy to clear debris under cars, furniture, and equipment in your yard or garage. The collector bag empties quickly thanks to a quick-connect coupler, and it's constructed of breathable nylon fabric to keep the air flowing freely. Cleaning the TriVac is simple; just push a button to open the impeller housing to free any clogs. Its sturdy ABS plastic construction means you can put the TriVac through the rigors of everyday use for many seasons to come.
The WORX TriVac All-in-One Compact Blower/Mulcher/Vac is covered by a full two-year warranty.

Customer Review: bag broke after usihg 2 times/very poor customer service
After the second use the zipper on the bag broke. Contacting customer service has been a nightmare. They don't answer the phone and a machine asks you to leave a call back number, which they say they will return in 24-48 hours, never happened. Finally after 2 weeks I finally got a hold of someone. They would not provide me with a phone # that was not a 1-800 number or physical address for their company or let me talk to a supervisor (said they were all busy on other phone calls. They did consent to replace the bag, but I am not sure this is a good idea if their customer service stinks. Seriously considering returning the whole unit.
Customer Review: much better units out there
this product is a cool idea...a leaf blower that turns vacuum w/the flip of a switch. Problem is, it doesn't do it nearly as well as it could or should. First, the impeller is plastic. One errant rock or hard piece of bark sucked up in the vacuum, and expect your blades to chip. Mine chipped on the first use. Next, the bag is problematic. It's easy to click into place, but very difficult to dislodge. Mine just would not budge at all. No amount of force, or coaxing or balance could get the bag off. I have read other people have had the same problem. Finally, the design. The end of the unit is angled up. Which seems like a good idea until you use it. Because the motor is the heaviest feature, the unit naturally wants to tip backward in your hand--the opposite direction of the angle on the nozzle. It just means your hand/forearm gets tired a lot quicker. the power of the blower/vac is pretty decent. But that's about all I can say for this gadget. For the money, I expected better. A lot better. I sent this back, and bought a Toro Ultra for $20 less. It doesn't have that "one touch" toggling between blower and vac, but it does have a metal impeller, is simple to assemble and use, weighs less, mulches great, has variable speed and doesn't have nearly the "hang ups" that this unit has.

Factory Reconditioned Homelite 26cc Gas Powered MightyLite Blower (Non-CARB Compliant) #ZR08520

Customer Review: Blows great when it works
Like all Homelite/Ryobi power equipment, it works well for a while. Every piece of Homelite power equipment I owned developed carb. or other fuel delivery problems, became hard to start, or had parts break off or fail. Weedeater brand is the best alternative if you want to go cheap. Or just buy an Echo for much more $$$ and problem solved.
Customer Review: Great value for the Money$$$$
For the price, this unit handles blowing the leaves off of the deck very well.

Black & Decker LH4500 12 Amp 2-Speed Electric Leaf Hog Blower / Vacuum With Leaf Bag

![]() |
![]() The mulching mechanism can reduce debris that would have filled 16 bags enough that it fits in the single rear bag. View larger. |
Sweep your patio, workshop, or walkway clean, or use the 240-mph air speed to make quick work of wet, matted leaves in your yard. The Leaf Hog has a dual-speed switch to decrease air flow when you're working around delicate flower beds, patio furniture, or automobiles in your garage.
Gather and Mulch Leaves and Trimmings
The Leaf Hog converts easily to a 385 CFM lawn vacuum when you want to collect loose leaves, twigs, and grass clippings. The internal mulching mechanism grinds everything down, compressing as much as 16 bags of debris down to one. The included bag detaches easily to empty your mulch in flower beds, gardens, or compost piles.
Lightweight for Comfortable, All-Day Use
An included shoulder strap adds extra support when you're using the Leaf Hog. Weighing in at just 8.1 pounds makes the blower/vacuum light enough for anyone to use for extended periods.
Low Noise Levels from the Environmentally Friendly Motor
Power comes from a 12 Amp motor than runs on electricity--no need to mix oil and gasoline when you're ready to work. The electric motor greatly reduces the roar that's common with gasoline blowers to protect your hearing and reducing noise pollution.
The Electric Leaf Hog Blower/Vacuum is covered by a two-year warranty.

Customer Review: As a blower it's good, as a vaccuum it SUCKS
I bought it as a vaccuum to reach into the tight spaces i couldn't get to with a rake or blower. It simply does not work. The intake tube constantly clogs. Even if the leaves are totally dry it sucks them up so slow that it just seems like a waste of time. And on the rare occassion when it does work the bag fills up in 2 seconds. The thing is heavy too!! I only use it as a blower now. It's an ok blower.
Customer Review: Great product

Earthwise BVM20010 10 Amp 2-Speed Electric Blower/Vac/Mulcher

Customer Review: Good for what is intended
So far so good on this blower. Bought at a time when there were no reviews at all, I have now had it for about 1 month. I have used it a couple times on a weekly basis for blowing the lawnmower and carport off. The blower works as advertised and has a lot of power with both speeds. The vacuum/mulcher works fine, but haven't used it that much. The blower is very light weight which is nice. The only thing that I see as a drawback that I don't like (but haven't had an issue with) is that the plug for the blower is on the front casing instead of the back of the casing, so basically the cord has to wrap around the front of the blower to function. All in all, a great blower at an absolute GREAT price.
Customer Review: good product....great price
THIS BLOWER/ VAC IS LIGHTWEIGHT,POWERFUL,AND EASY TO HANDLE.THE ONLY NEG ABOUT THIS ITEM IS THE POWER CORD RETAINING BAR.I'M PROBABLY NOT DOING SOMETHING RIGHT , BUT I JUST CAN'T GET THE CORD TO STAY IN PLACE ON THE UNIT. ALL IN ALL ,A VERY GOOD PRODUCT THAT WORKS BETTER THAN EXPECTED FOR SUCH A BARGAIN PRICE.

Customer Review: perpetual motion
i heard that a solo 470-01 green blower could run forever without gas. well it's a nice idea, the perpetual motion. sometimes i feel that the snail shape of the solo green blower is a dream, it is inclusive. the green plastic is so outrageous and high quality it is superior to even the fabled cifarelli. hot air you say...it makes air and lots of it. but it is sweet. the only problem i found is the hp can blow the muffler gasket, it's that strong. i wound mine out so far it popped, and hasn't been the same since. too much power and too much air. it is the porsche of blowers, the german answer to the garden autobahn. gets dirty inside the housing after using it for 100,000 hours. love garrido
Customer Review: Great Product!!!
This backpack blower is great for any size yard. We have over 60 oak trees and it has performed well with no issues. This has to be the easiest power tool to start. I've tried a few other backpack blowers and this one is better by far. It's not only powerful but has less noise and lasts between 2-1/2 and 3 hours on full blast with the gas/oil mix. If you are looking for a blower this is the one to get.

Troy-Bilt Turbo Blower Attachment #TBTB

Customer Review: Awesome blower!
I bought one of these to attach to my Ryobi trimmer. I was thoroughly impressed with it. It is extremely powerful and easy to use. It comes with two attachments but I only used the flatter one. I use this after trimming and mowing and it blows all the grass with no problem. I take it into the street and it ends up blowing all the gravel in the street as well. I did end up returning mine though since I found a blower/trimmer attachment in one for $35. The blower on it isn't as strong as this one but it works well enough for my needs.
Customer Review: power in a small package
The TroyBilt blower packs a punch & will definitely consolidate some leaves. Only issue for some might be the weight & vibration over extended periods. However, a shoulder harness makes the weight manageable.

Poulan Pro 25 cc Gas Blower/Vacuum #BVM200LE

On the first count, air speed, this Poulan rates very well, registering 205 mph; you'll find a lot of comparable blowers listed closer to 150 mph. Coupled with that is how much air the engine is actually moving, and of course, the more, the better. This one's rated at an impressive 400 cubic feet per minute, which, for a handheld blower like this, is a mighty lot of volume. Combined, these two details mean you've got great air power for blowing leaves, grass clippings, light debris and other yard waste.
This blower is no heavier than its competitors, but of course, once you flip the switch and start vacuuming leaves, you're carrying that weight with you, albeit with a shoulder strap. It does have a higher mulching ratio than others (16:1, turning 16 bags of leaves into one mulched bag) in its class, turning leaves and grass clippings into a nice, fine mulch for flower beds or just more compact bagged yard waste.
Starting is a bit of a chore; be prepared to pull. But that's par for the gas-powered course. Once it's going, though, it's a pleasure to use, and it beats raking and sweeping.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Customer Review: If it breaks I'll buy another one
Reviews are an intangible thing. What works good for one guy, sometimes won't work for another. With that said I'll throw in my 2 cents. I bought one of these about 3 1/2 years ago. I live in SC on a acre of land surrounded by pine trees. I use this blower almost daily (winter and summer) to blow away the pine needles from the back deck and driveway; also after cutting the lawn. I could not be more happy with it. It always starts on the first or second pull. Not that it needed it, but I changed the spark plug, just to make me feel that I was taking care of it. If it ever fails I would buy another one.

Customer Review: Make it tight!
These bags are good but you must be sure to pull the tightening cord as firmly as you can otherwise dust and debris blow out as you are vacuuming. I have inhaled more than my share of dust. Use a pliers to be sure it's tight when you set it up. Otherwise, they are great to use.

Lasko #4924 High Velocity Blower

Customer Review: no quality control
The product arrived in good shape. I plugged it in and turned it on and was greeted by a highly unpleasant grinding noise. Apparently they don't utilize any sort of quality control since there was a big plastic burr left on during molding. As the impeller spun, it was rubbing against it. I had to take the stupid thing apart and grind it down with a file after I finally found it. Most consumers would probably return it as defective, so I rated the product as it was when I got it - completely unacceptable. However, if your unit arrives fine, it's pretty quiet for the air it blows. However, don't expect too much. After reading the other reviews I was expecting quite a bit more wind, but it is just fine for my needs.
