Remington BB18125A 18-Volt Cordless Electric Blower

Customer Review: Didn't last long
I purchased this unit from Menards last summer. It's not a strong leaf blower but if you need something portable for light jobs then this unit theoretically would do the job. The problem I'm seeing with mine is the battery no longer makes good contact. My unit really has very little use and I was quite dissapointed when it failed. The battery warranty is just 6 months and although it failed within that mark I didn't get it taken care of. I'm sure it's just a defective battery. My fear is that they are all poorly designed batteries and do I want to drop $40 on a replacement or just toss the whole unit and buy something I can trust for $80. I'm rambling. Point is this is an off-brand tool and lots of people are complaining about poor quality. Do your homework before buying this product.
Customer Review: Light duty blower
This blower - I'd rather call it an air broom - is compact and well built. The battery removal and installation is a quick and convenient. The charger attaches to the detached battery with a slide clip. The air broom performs well after the battery is fully changed but the blowing force drops off fairly quickly after about 10 minutes of use. This air broom is effective for light duty tasks such as when the material to be moved isn't heavy, sticky, or wet. This "blower" is no match for the corded blower models however is quick and easy to use for light duty cleaning tasks. Buy it if you want to use it for moving dust or easily moved leaves and grass. Anything heavier then those really calls for the use a corded or gas blower.

Makita 24.5cc Commercial Duty 4-Stroke Gas Powered Blower #BHX2500

Customer Review: Great but buzzy blower
Plenty of power for most jobs, starts 1st or 2nd pull, no long cord needed to clear 1000' drive through the woods as electric blower needed, and most of all, no 2-stroke smoke odor over clothing when done. Fairly quiet too (still use ear protectors though). Only shortcoming is the vibration. Acceptable, but the most I've ever seen on a blower, and need to switch hands more often than others. Weird gyroscopic action when turning it too, but more entertaining than a problem. Still my favorite blower though.
Customer Review: A Pleasure to Use
I've owned this blower for a couple of months now. I purchased it as a replacement for my old electric blower. It has plenty of power for my suburban needs. It's also quiet and runs on regular gas (no mixing gas and oil like a 2 stroke). All of these attributes are great, but the really great thing is that it starts reliably after 1 or 2 pulls just like my trusty Honda mower. Compared to the 2 strokes that I have dealt with the Robin 4 stroke in this blower is a real pleasure to work with. I would easily pay $50 extra to have the 4 stroke in this Makita. I wish their 4 stroke string trimmer was a bit cheaper. I would trade up and ditch my old Echo 2 stroke in a heartbeat if it were close to the price of this blower.

Tanaka Commercial Grade Gas Powered Large Backpack Blower Tube-Mounted Throttle 65cc 4.3 HP 2-Stroke (CARB Compliant) #TBL-7800R

On March 1, 1998, Tanaka became the first two-stroke manufacturer to certify to the stringent C.A.R.B. Tier II emissions regulations. While most other manufacturers tried to fight the standard and say that it could not be done with two-stroke, Tanaka did it. Today, all Tanaka products comply with EPA phase 2 regulations and all Tanaka product groups are C.A.R.B Tier II compliant.
Customer Review: easy start, easy to use
right out of the box, easy to assemble hoses and setup. The directions were good, nice to follow. It starts right up every time and is very powerful. I like the fact that the gas cap is attached to the tank and the speed switch is comfortable. Its a little cumbersome getting it on your back until using it a couple of times. It does a great job and will blow wet leaves as well as dry.
Customer Review: Beast
This thing is a BEAST!! Great for all sorts of jobs from blowing grass clippings off your driveway to moving some heavily compacted, wet leaves. Buy some ear protection and save yourself the hassle later.

Black & Decker LH5000 12 Amp Variable Speed Electric Leaf Hog Blower / Vacuum With Zipper-Less Leaf Bag

Customer Review: Black and Decker LH5000 Electric Leaf Hog
You know, this may very well be a good product, but changing over from the blowing function to the vacuum function is a nightmare. The bag has to be added on, or removed and the blower arm etc has to be added on or removed. All depending on which functions you want. This is simple to do, but TAKES A GREAT DEAL OF TIME AND EXTRA WORK. My older blower/vacuum was just a flip of a lever. This is just way too time consuming when you are in the middle of a large project. You can't just blow and area and the suck it up. Then move on to the next little area. Really, just too time consuming.
Customer Review: Excellent product
I had a previous version of the leaf hog that I was satisfied with but when it burned out, I was in the market for another. This model is a noticeable improvement. The steel propeller is a key upgrade as is as the zipperless bag. It is relatively light weight and very powerful. I could not find this at home depot and was delighted that amazon offered it.
